SBS was established on 25th October 2013 as an international non-profit association. SBS’ objectives are derived from Regulation (EU) No 1025/2012 which sets out a long-term vision for the European Standardisation System. The focus of this regulation is on improvements that will ensure better support for European policies fostering growth and competitiveness. SBS is one of the four “Annex III” organisations mandated by the European Union to represent SMEs in the context of standardisation.
