EU-UK trade agreement: A practical guide for SMEs

SBS-SMEunited workshop

4 May 2021
14.00 - 15.45H CEST

Following the exit of the UK from the EU and the trade deal agreed at the end of 2020, European companies wishing to do business in the UK will need to adapt to a new set of rules. From 1 January 2021, the UK will no longer follow EU legislation and European firms will need to adapt to changes such as new marking requirements or approvals if they want to continue selling their products in the UK.

The webinar aims at giving practical information to European SMEs about the EU-UK trade agreement and what they need to know if they want to do business in the UK.
What does the trade agreement cover and what it does not? Until when can I use the CE marking in the UK market? Do I need to use a UK laboratory to test my product? Can I continue to use European Standards for my product? Where can I find information on UK applicable standards? Where can I find further information and support?
